“Anunnaki: Origin of Sumeria” Animated Short Film Made With Artificial Intelligence Released
Anunnaki: Origin of Sumeria by filmmaker Michael Finney explores an alternative history of the dawn of civilization through artificial intelligence-generated images, video, sound effects, and voices.
Director, Michael Finney: “This project is my favorite AI film short that I have created so far. I spent quite a while researching the material while dabbling with the visual style with the generative art tools. My hope is that people can find aspects of proper history embedded inside a fantastic story that has characterized and far-reaching narrative threads.”
This story is currently seeking distribution via a number of platforms and will be converted into an editorial short form piece in ebook and audiobook format. The film is available to watch for free on YouTube and Twitter/X.
AI Film Guerrillas Team Lead, Chris Hackett: “When looking to the past beyond our own versions of reality there's space for storytelling. Space for us to play as creators, Michael’s Anunnaki: Origin of Sumeria is a foray into the idea of what if in a refreshing way. Bridging a life we could only theorize about into motion and vitality.”
It is also available as 13 limited-edition collectibles via RadTV that include a unique NFT airdrop for each collector for Eth on Base. This project was made possible by generous funding from Entertainmint, where the film can be rented or purchased.
